There will not be any 5:30-7:00 pm discipleship classes on February 5. All 5:30-7:00 pm discipleship classes will resume February 12 as scheduled.

The history of the Church is fascinating. This course traces the history of the Church from just before the New Testament times to the Reformation. It looks at the events, people politics and thinking that have led to the present day Church. We will look at the reason for the schisms in the Church, and the corresponding development of doctrine over the centuries. Some of the Church’s history will make you cry, and much of it will make you tremendously proud of our Christian heritage.

The heart of Wilcrest is a desire to reach the nations for Christ. This requires going to thenations. This class teaches both how we approach missions, and what we believe about missions. It is not an abstract class, but is very practical, and Wilcrest specific. This class should be considered a requirement before going on a mission trip with Wilcrest.

 

 Sharing Jesus without Fear Sunday 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM                                                                                                                                             Facilitated by: Tony Kolluri

 Jesus called all Christians to evangelize. Many don’t because they don’t know what to say, or are afraid to say anything. Have you ever not shared Jesus with a friend because of fear?  Have you lived with the regret? This course gives you an outline or a plan to share Jesus without fear in those opportunities that the Lord provides. Don’t let fear keep you from being used by the Lord to increase His Kingdom. This class is strongly recommended for anyone going on a mission trip.

 

Men’s Fraternity: The Quest for Authentic Manhood – 12 weeks Sunday 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM                                                                                                                                Facilitated by: Scott Lester and others

The Quest for Authentic Manhood is a captivating journey comprised of 12 sessions which helps men understand their masculine identity and shows them how to make the pursuit of authentic manhood a lifelong priority that is incorporated into the fabric of their everyday lives. Looking to Scripture, and holding Jesus up as a model, it offers a clear definition of what a man is and challenges each man to develop his own personalized manhood plan.
